A fabulous combination of tuner and metronome - you can't go wrong with the Diana MMT-20.
Why take two things along with you when you can take one? You know how essential a tuner is, and if you're also thinking of getting a metronome, this is one of the few that combine the two functions. This tuner can tune any instrument as it's fully chromatic - so whatever instrument you have, this will help you keep it in tune.
There are lots of features which are genuinely useful:
Tuner:
- Use "A=440" (standard pitch) or A=435-445 in 1 Hz steps
- Fully chromatic - works with any instrument, or use the preset pitch option for a guitar
- Automatically detect the pitch you're playing, or (for instruments with rich harmonics) tell the tuner what pitch you're playing.
- Audible note (chromatic or guitar) for you to tune to
- Very clear pointer indication, supplemented by LED (below, in tune, above) lights for dim lighting conditions
Metronome:
- 40-216 beats per minute
- Equal beats, or can emphasis beats 2,3,4,5,6 or 7
- Visual LCD beat on the screen - see the movie of this - and LED lights, with or without audible beats
The tuner uses 2 standard AAA batteries (supplied) and has no moving parts to wear out. Battery life is not quoted but they should work for many months in normal use and when you come to replace them, AAA batteries are much cheaper than the 9v equivelents you find on some tuners.
This is a very good value tuner/metronome which is far cheaper than buying one of each! Please note that our new versions of these are branded COXX and are lighter in colour - but are essentially the same product. We will update our photogallery shortly.

| The tuner is attractively packaged and has simple pushbutton controls - select Metronome, Guitar or Chromatic Tuning, with or without sound. There's an input for electric instruments and it can tune to a preset note, or automatically display the note for you, and it can play audible pitches for you to tune to. The picture shows it in "guitar" mode but in "chromatic" mode it will allow you to tune any instrument, including of course the violin family. A fabulous, bargain-priced essential.
